The Troy-based Al-tair in Michigan State transforms de-sign and decision making by applying simulation, machine learning, and optimization through product life cycles. This Industry-academia tie-up apparently aims to benefit students from technologies and tools and making them industry-ready. The objective is to develop and facilitate competency on commercial FEM software from Altair, Hyper Works, and also help students conduct research activity with the help of FEM code, company execu-tives said. Moreover, the innovation center also targets to provide unlimited licenses to students during their degree or post-graduation degree, facilitat-ing various online learning and certification courses. Increas-ingly, academia is partnering with industry to ensure that their students get placed and also in-corporate industry-related changes in their curriculum. The institute management is positive about the initiative and believes that this collaboration with Altair will assist them immensely in exposing students to industry relevant technologies. Further, Altair India Managing Director Pa-van Kumar also proudly shared that Altair's portfolio of simulation technology and patented units-based software licensing model enable simulation-driven innovation for the customers.Amazon Alexa has become a household name today.
