| |9 SEPTEMBER 2023HIGHERReviewFOCAL POINT On September 4th, the Indian Ministry of Edu-cation, Ministry of Skill Development & En-trepreneurship, and Meta (formerly Facebook) announced a collaborative initiative called "Education to Entrepreneurship: Empowering Students, Educators, and Entrepreneurs."The primary objective of this initiative is to inspire young individuals to transform their educational founda-tions into successful businesses.Meta, in partnership with the Indian government, unveiled this program during a launch event attended by Union Minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrasekhar.At the event, Meta revealed three important partner-ships with the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Sandhya Devanathan, Head of Meta in India, highlighted Meta's dedication to India's future and emphasized the role of technology, in-cluding augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), in advancing education.Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ex-pressed gratitude to Meta for this groundbreaking ini-tiative, underlining India's recent achievements such as its lunar mission and the upcoming G20 Summit in Sep-tember 2023.
