Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO NITI Aayog, on Friday called for disrupting school’s education to encourage innovative and creative skills. Speaking at the Hero Group’s BML Munjal University’s 2nd Convocation, he said, “I am amazed to learn that BML Munjal University provides you on-the-spot training, making u soil the hands.”
Mr. Amitabh Kant was the Chief Guest for the convocation. BMU celebrated its 2nd convocation at its Gurugram campus. 50 students received their degrees in business management and commerce programmes. Addressing the gathering, Mr Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog said, “Even though, people have had access to education through the last decade, more than 40% are still not able to read or write properly today. We need to create a system which is innovative, creative and has teachers who are extremely committed. A lot of innovative things are happening in the world and these disruptions are not originating from established companies but by young professionals. We need to disrupt school’s education and start finding solutions to the problems we face. This university is enabling you to think, enabling u to experiment, create and innovate.”
BMU has beenfounded by the promoters of The Hero Group with a vision to promote academic excellence in the areas of engineering and management. Dr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chancellor of the University, conferred degrees on University’s second batch of students.

Congratulating the young graduates and thanking the parents and guardians, Dr. Sunil Kant Munjalsaid, “We never tell our students that we will provide all the answers, we tell them that we enable you to ask the right questions. Mr BML Munjal always taught us to be grateful to the almighty, parents and teachers. At BMU, the curriculum is designed on a system of 3 Is – Innovation, Inquiry and Impact– to make a positive impact on the society. What this country needs today is more and more economic opportunities and we must have the ability to ensure productive job availability for everyone. We are delighted to partner with NITI Aayog to build a better future for India.”
Addressing the gathering Dr. B S Satyanarayana, Vice-Chancellor of BML Munjal University said, “This is a proud moment for us. This batch that is passing out today is ready for the next-generation opportunity that our nation is enabling. I convey my heartiest congratulations to all students for successfully completing their degree, programmes and to their learned teachers who have worked hard to enrich the young minds with quality education, knowledge, skills and moral values”.
