Detailed Information on ICAI CA CPT 2019
With CA CPT just being around the corner where already the date (16th June 2019) is declared for the examination, aspirants are gearing up to put their entire efforts for the same. Organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the students are now open to register for the examination. Released on April 4th, 2019 at the official ICAI website, the application is kept open to fill-up. This exam is literally the gateway to enter into the profession of Chartered Accountancy (CA). Important Dates and Timings
Set to occur on 16th June 2019 (Sunday), the exam will be conducted on two sessions- morning from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM and afternoon session from 02.00 PM to 04:00 PM. The last date to submit the application form is 24th April 2019 and the late fee last date is 2nd May 2019. The students can collect their Admit card in the first week of June and the result is expected to get declared during the third week of July 2019.
Application Process
The applicants can apply through the ICAI official website from 4th April 2019 to 24th April 2019 and up to 2nd May 2019 (with late fees of Rs. 600/- for Indian and Kathmandu Centres and $10 for Foreign Centres). The application fee that the student has to pay is Rs. 1000/- for centers in India, US $ 300/- FOR Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai & Muscat centers and INR 1700/-- for Kathmandu Centre. This can be paid via online payment gateway facility with VISA/Master/Maestro Credit/Debit Credit.
CA CPT 2019 Eligibility Criteria
There are certain criteria that ICAI has set for the aspirants to fulfill before appearing for the exam.
1. Candidates must have completed 12th standard education from a recognized board or equivalent.
2. Those who have done graduation degree or post-graduation degree with commerce subject with minimum 55% marks are exempted from appearing in CA CPT 2019.
3. Candidates who possess graduation degree or master's degree in any discipline (excluding commerce) with at least 60% marks aggregate in all subjects are also exempted from appearing in the entry-level exam.
Exam Pattern
CA CPT is a pen-paper based test which consists of objective type questions. The test will be held in two sessions in a single day. It should be noted that there is negative marking for an incorrect response where for every incorrect answer; one-fourth marks shall be deducted. Qualifying Marks for CA CPT 2019
For qualifying the CA CPT exam, the candidates need to obtain at least a minimum of 30 percent marks in each section a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the sections, then only they will be declared passed in the Common Proficiency Test.
