IES Management College and Research Centre has organized its 9th International Business Research Conference on Saturday, 30th January-2016. The event was conducted for the academicians, researchers, consultants, management practitioners, and students from all over India and abroad. The theme of the conference was ‘Re-Visioning the Scope of Business’. Mr. Abhishek Singh, Director, Business Development, SME Ratings, CRISIL was the Chief Guest and Mr. Pravin Kataria, Director, India Investment Banking Coverage Investment Banking Asia- Pacific, BNP Paribas was the guest of honour for the inaugural session. It was followed by a panel discussion with panelists Ashwin Kelkar- Patner at KPMG India, Umesh Jadhav- General Manager- Risk Management, JSW Steel Limited, and Hemant Kale - President Commercial, DORF Ketal Chemicals (I) Pvt. Ltd. Over 25 delegates had registered for the conference and those who qualified for the faculty competitions were invited to present their papers in the conference. The programme concluded with the valedictory session where the best faculty papers were awarded the prizes in the first, second and Third category. There were competitions for the students- Poster competition and the students were conferred cash prizes and certificates. Select papers were published in the IOSR Journal of Business and Management.
This Conference was successful in stimulating ideas and elevating the current standards of management through interaction with the leading Corporate Houses. The conference was appreciated for its hospitality, Professionalism and more ever the knowledge that poured out of the deliberations. The conference was well cherished and all the delegates commented that the conference was bigger and better this time.
