As India and UK proclaimed to set up 50 million pound to Newton-Bhabha Fund for the purpose of research, this fund will be used for multi-disciplinary team work in the fields of Science, research and also with the modernism which is stuck between both the countries.
The Minister of science and technology Mr.Harsh Vardhan said that “the programme is initially aimed to provide financial assistance to the best minds of India and UK in carrying out scientific research and innovation”. Many people like Scientists, academicians, research scholars and administrators from both the countries have come frontward to assume the decision taken by those countries as they have to develop their joint-research activities as a scientific temper among all the people.
Newton-Bhabha Fund is a great tribute to the prominent icons Homi J Bhabha and Sir Issac Newton from both the lands. This programme’s main aim is to afford 50 million pounds to the intelligent minds of both the countries in addressing the universal challenges towards the application of science and technology, vardhan further says that Delegates from both the countries deliberated on an assortment of issues at a meeting of the 4th UK-India Science and Innovation Council hence, they decided to go for joint new research projects in mental health and substance abuse among others.
