1st International Conference on “Chip, Circuitry, Current, Coding, Combustion and Composites”- I7C-2016 was held at Sri Sairam College of Engineering, Anekal, Bengaluru on 10th&11th November 2016. The conference provided a platform to discuss the applications on Chip, Circuitry, Current, Coding, Combustion and Composite materials.
The i7C - 2016: International Conference on Chip, Circuitry, Current, Coding, Combustion and Composites aims to provide an international forum to leading academicians, engineers, researchers, industry practitioners, scholars pan world to exchange ideas, share their experiences and research outcomes on all aspects of field engineering.
The inaugural session of the conference began with lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries & IFERP officials followed by the invocation song by the CSE students Sahana and team. The dignitaries, chief guest, Dr. Jharna Majumdar, Dean R&D, Prof. Head, Dept of M.Tech CSE, NMIT, Bengaluru, Special invite Dr. Sharanabasappa C Sajjan Prof. and Head (MECH), KLE IT, Hubbali, Dr. Vijaya Kumar, Principal, Management Representative Mr. R Arun Kumar, were escorted by the program Chairperson, Dr. B Shadakasrappa, Vice principal and Prof Malini K V, Head (EEE).
On this promising occasion, Vice Principal Dr. Shadaksharappa welcomed the chief guest, IFERP officials, session judges, the dignitaries, special invitees, Head of the Depts., Participants, Staff and Students He gave brief review of the institution stating Sri Sairam College of engineering has continued to pursue the three I's, which in recent years have become common concern of prestigious colleges around the world: Innovation; Internationalization; and Interdisciplinary research and are in the process of growing into a world-class research place and now is boldly innovating its system to become a global leader of higher education and R &D in his welcome address.
The College management felicitated the chief guest and IEI- The Institute of Engineers (India) elected members of Karnataka Chapter, Dr. S N Chandrashekar, Prof & HOD (CSE), SJCIT, Chikkaballapur, Dr. Nataraj Prof & HOD (ECE), SJBIT, Bengaluru, Dr. Thirtha prasad, Prof. VTU PG center, Muddenahalli, Mr. Rudra Satpathy, Deputy Director, IFERP. The IFERP officials felicitated Dr. Y. Vijaya Kumar, Principal and Mr. Patel, PRO & trust office member Sairam institution on this occasion.
The presidential address was rendered by Dr. Y Vijayakumar, Principal. He explained that the institution is not only looking for academic excellence, we are looking for more research work from the students and also from the staff providing facilities. He also quoted about Sri. Saiprakash Leo Muthu, CEO, Sairam institutions, who is influencing students and faculties to involve in more research work.
The proceedings of the conference were released by chief guest Dr. Jharna Majumdar Dean R&D NMIT, and delivered the Inaugural address, she stated that the walls between various departments in engineering should be broken and we should provide interdisciplinary working space for the students to express their ideas.
Over whelming response from the participants from all corner of Karnataka and India. Around 176 papers are received. Out of which 120 papers scrutinized by the expert committee and revivers and finally all the papers are presented before the session chairs on both the days.
Dr. Sharanabasappa C Sajjan Prof. and Head (MECH), KLE IT, Hubbali delivered special address on the research work, he quoted that sky is the limit for research and how research is a value addition work for academician. During his keynote address he spoke on influence of moon pool shapes on vessel response.
Sri R Arun Kumar, Management representative proposed the vote of thanks in inaugural function.
Keynote sessions by various professors from different disciplines was arranged after inaugural function. The following professors are delivered a keynote address.
Dr. P A Vijaya, Prof. & Head of ECE, BNMIT, Bengaluru, delivered a keynote on innovative embedded systems and its applications.
Dr. T C Manjunath, Prof &Head (ECE), Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Delivered a keynote on Nano Technology and its applications in medical field.
Dr. P C Sreekanth, Prof &Head (ECE), Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan delivered a keynote om Nano Photonics.
