Internships at Harrisburg University give students a competitive edge
Internships at Harrisburg University began this spring for students.
Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Harrisburg University is a private non-profit university offering bachelor and graduate degree programs in science, technology, and math fields.
At Harrisburg University, experiential learning lies at the heart of the University’s mission. And the internships at Harrisburg take this belief to the next level. Harrisburg University students have been known to complete internships with partner companies like Microsoft, Google, and Deloitte, to name a few. This enables them a real-world experience that many strive for and makes all the difference when they enter the workforce.
The university requires each student to complete a 135-hour internship along with a senior project. This allows the students optimum real-world experience to accelerate their growth.
As a result, approximately 92 per cent of Harrisburg University undergraduate students manage to find employment in their fields of study within six months of graduation.
This spring, students at Harrisburg University are set to intern at big names in the industry of Tech, Science and healthcare.
Farhana Akhter, a student at Harrisburg University, is looking forward to interning with UPMC Pinnacle, a healthcare provider in central Pennsylvania and its surrounding rural communities. Rashida Berger will be looking forward to interning at the Office of the District Attorney in Dauphin County. And Hannah Tucci is excited for her internship at Molecular Jig Games. Other students will be looking forward to their internships across states as well.
