The YES BANK Transformation Series- India’s largest case study challenge crowned North East Royals from IIM Shillong as the winners of the YES BANK Transformation Series – 2016 at the Grand Finale held in Delhi.
In addition to pre-placement interview opportunities with YES BANK and the privilege of working on a case set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India, the winners will receive a prize money of INR 3 lakhs, with the first runner up Team Plutus, ISB Hyderabad taking home INR 2 lakhs and the second runner up, Team Heisenberg, IIFT Kolkata winning a prize of INR 1 lakhs. An aggregate of INR 10 lakhs in prize money was distributed across the 15 finalists of the challenge
The Grand Finale was graced by dignitaries like Mr. Jun Zhang, Country Head, IFC, Mr. Ashok Chawla, Non Executive Chairman, YES BANK and Chairman, TERI and Mr. Sanjay Swamy, Chairman, Prime Venture Partners.
Launched in the year 2010, the YES BANK Transformation Series is a unique platform that offers university level students across the world an opportunity to work on real life industry challenges and issues and find innovative solutions.
In the preliminary rounds of this edition of YES BANK Transformation Series, participants tested their wits on 4 live cases shared by leading financial technology (FINTECH) companies such as TAISYS, Zaggle, Ezetap and T-Hub. The challenge this year also incorporated augmented reality based solutions in the promotions of the competition.
15 finalists were selected for the Grand Finale, and each team presented their solution on a case study shared by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India, focusing on solar energy.

The finalist teams were from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, IIFT Delhi, MDI Gurgaon and NITIE.
The teams presented their ideas to an esteemed jury comprising of policy makers, doyens of Indian Inc. and academia such as Shri A.K.
