Oxford University Press (OUP), the world’s largest university press organized a workshop for the New Edition of Nelson English in Delhi at Gems Modern Academy, Gurugram. The workshop was attended by 36 teachers from 11 different schools. The activity based interactive workshop was led by expert trainer Ms. Heather French and focused on key strategies of teaching Grammar, Comprehension, Spelling and Writing to learners in primary school.
The workshop introduced teachers to latest interactive methodologies for making English learning more fun and engaging for children and emphasized on how learning English could be an even more delightful experience for students if teachers understood the thoughts of children and made them overcome their problems which they face on day-to-day basis. Heather stressed on the need for teachers to continuously introduce new methodologies in teaching, so as to make learning more stimulating and pleasurable experience for children. She also kept her focus on exploring practical activities in class room teaching for the benefit of students.
The workshop leader Ms. Heather French has a rich classroom experience of over 25 years of teaching at British and International curriculum schools around the world.
