We at Sri Sairam College of Engineering are proud to present the accomplishment of our students at Vishnu E-Moto Championship 2016 - a National level electric bike championship held recently. This project is built by our undergraduate Engineering students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering disciplines. The vehicle is designed and fabricated in the college laboratories under the guidance of our faculty.This press release is called to showcase this project in this distinguished forum which will encourage student’s fraternity to participate in more such events and bring laurels to our Karnataka State and for the country too

The main objective ofVishnu E-Moto Championship 2016 is to bring out and nurture the latent talents in the areas of Design, Manufacture as well as Team Management skills of the Engineering Students and also to pursuit the needs of eco-friendly vehicles for better environmental practices.ThisE-Moto Racing Championship hosted by 'Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women' located in a thriving town of Bhimavaram, West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh earlier this month.

We are glad to convey here that our student’s team RAIDERS have successfully competed in all the rounds and has won the OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP along with cash prize Rs. 1 lakh, acclaiming laurels to the State & the Intuition.

Raiders – the E-Bike Think Green, Ride a Bike...!!

Here are few achievements of our e-Bike

• It is a National Electric Bike event which attracted more than 60 teams across the country.
• Out of 60 teams from ‎India, who had exhibited all possible Engineering concepts of their prototype E-Bike, 25 teams were selected for ‎innovation, efficiency, and endurance of the vehicle including ours.
• Sri Sairam college of Engineering’s Team Raiders comprised of 25 Engineering students from (Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering) under the captainship of Mr. MonishBabu, Mr. Purandar Raj and Mr.Rajesh.
• RAIDERS is the only team which got selected for VEMC 2016 E-bike racing event from Karnataka.
• Our team RAIDERS won Overall Championship, Endurance and Autocross winners titles with 1 Lakh cash Prize in total.
• Our Team Secured 3^rd Position in Acceleration as well as in Cost & Sales and 4^th Position in Virtual design.
• The process underwent evaluation of capabilities of the vehicle and the knowledge of the team members.
• Participating in this event helped the students to not only develop their technical knowledge but also build managerial skills.

This project has undergone various levels of tough scrutiny and technical inspections by the organizers and have made in to finals successfully from ourKarnataka state.This prototype model now is undergoing technical transformation to convert it into a better usable product in due course of time for future generations.
