One of the premier management schools in India, Xavier School of Management is all set to establish their new campus in Amaravati at Andhra Pradesh, for imparting management degree in post graduation and under graduation. At a formal function on Thursday, the foundation stone was laid by the Honorable Chief Minister of AP, Sri Chandra Babu Naidu; Fr. B. Chinnabathini, D.D., Bishop of Guntur; Fr. T. Joseph Raja Rao, D.D. Bishop of Vijayawada; Fr. P.S.  Amalraj, S.J., Provincial, Andhra Jesuit Province, along with Fr. E. Abraham, S.J., Director, XLRI Jamshedpur; Fr. Jerome Cutinha, S.J., Dean – Administration & Finance, XLRI Jamshedpur; Dr. Ashis K Pani, Dean – Academics, XLRI Jamshedpur and Fr. K.S. Casimir, S.J., Chief Administrative Officer, XLRI Amaravati and other dignitaries.

XLRI started inculcating business and management education at India in 1949. Fascinated by the glorious 70 years long journey, Sri Chandra Babu said, “XLRI has preached value orientation in every aspect of life and is a responsible education institution on upholding Indian integrity.” The new campus will be built in Inavolu Village of Thullur Mandal in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, covering an area of 50 acres for an approximate 5000 student accommodation.

While Fr. E Abraham was overwhelmed by the support and assistance he received from the Chief Minister and his office. He said, “We are thankful to Shri Chandra Babu for helping us out in commencing the project. We emphasize management education and grooming business leaders in India, as they are the future shapers of the country. That is why we are expanding our wings in other parts of the country.” And the project team, architects and designers received appreciation for their hard-work from Fr. Jerome Cutinha, who said that without the entire team it is impossible to create a world class sustainable building plan. He had his best wishes for XLRI on becoming a repute institution in the years ahead.
