In a conversation with Keerthana, Correspondent, Higher Education Review Magazine, Amol Deshmukh, Principal at Nagpur Institute of Technology shared his views and thoughts on the contemporary landscape of education, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools have emerged as indispensable assets, revolutionizing the way knowledge is imparted, acquired, and managed. He is an IIM alumni, having done his Executive Management course on “Strategic Management” at IIM Nagpur. Earlier, he worked as Deputy Director at G.H.Raisoni College of Engineering.

All of a sudden, the Teachers, faculties and students worldwide found navigating new realms of online education, fostering a paradigm shift in the way knowledge is imparted and acquired. This shift has not only redefined the roles of educators but has also propelled them into the realm of digital pedagogy, where the skilful use of technology is now integral to effective teaching strategies. In essence, ICT tools have become the backbone of new-age education and organizational workflows. From automated attendance tracking systems and digital record-keeping to streamlined communication platforms, these tools are continuously revolutionizing administrative processes, allowing educators and staff to focus more on fostering a conducive learning environment rather than being bogged down by manual tasks. And for the students, this paradigm shift signifies a new era of learning—one characterized by flexibility, accessibility, and the empowerment to tailor educational experiences to individual needs.
