IIT Jodhpur Steps up to Provide Skilling Courses with STEPapp

The Technology Innovation and Start-up Center (TISC) at IIT Jodhpur is partnering with STEPapp to provide school students with skilling courses, aligning with the recent guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) that emphasize practical skill development in the school curriculum.

Under this collaboration, esteemed professors from IIT Jodhpur will leverage their expertise to design and meticulously audit skilling courses offered by STEPapp. These courses, tailored for students from grades 6-12, will cover essential skills such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, 2D Animation, Graphic Design, and Entrepreneurship.

An MoU was signed in the presence of IIT Jodhpur’s director, Santanu Chaudhury (Chairman of TISC), CEO of IIT Jodhpur’s TISC, Vignesh Mohan, and CEO and Founder of STEPapp, Praveen Tyagi, highlighting the importance of this transformative partnership.

Santanu Chaudhury, director of IIT Jodhpur and Chairman of TISC, expressed the institution's commitment to leveraging innovative technologies for the benefit of students across STEM education levels. He emphasized the potential of gamification for new-edge learning in line with the NEP philosophy.

Vignesh Mohan, CEO of TISC at IIT Jodhpur, highlighted the collaboration's aim to introduce a gamified learning environment for STEM education in schools. TISC will collaborate with IIT Jodhpur faculty members to develop cutting-edge courses to be delivered through STEPapp. The partnership is expected to significantly contribute to the holistic development and academic success of young students.
