Huawei Launches AI Program to Boost Digital Education in Egypt

Huawei has taken a major step toward enhancing digital education accessibility by signing three strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Al-Azhar University, the Egyptian-Russian University, and the 6th of October University during the Huawei Instructors Forum 2025.

This event also highlighted Huawei's newest technologies and digital education solutions, aimed at improving collaboration and partnerships with Egyptian universities to benefit all students.

The agreements signify the formal beginning of the “Huawei AI Program”— an ambitious initiative that connects the realm of Artificial Intelligence with students throughout Egypt. This action demonstrates Huawei’s conviction that opportunities should be accessible to everyone and that all individuals merit a chance to succeed in a world driven by AI.

The MOU was signed by Eng. Asmaa Serag – Director of Huawei Academies Egypt, Professor Dr. Mohamed Farag, University President’s Consultant for Digital Transformation at Al-Azhar University; Professor Dr. Hossam ElBahary, Head of Information Systems and Network Technology Department, Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science at October 6 University; Professor Dr. Tamer Saleh, Associate professor for the faculty of engineering at the Egyptian Russian University.

By partnering with local institutions, Huawei is integrating its AI courses into Egypt’s educational system, providing over 25,000 students with access to world-class learning available on the Huawei Talent platform.

Designed to be accessible, inclusive, and engaging, the initiative will be launched for over 10,000 students at Al-Azhar University, 10,000 at the Egyptian Russian University, and 5,000 at the 6th of October University, enabling a new generation to delve into the realm of Artificial Intelligence and succeed in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Included in Huawei's newest collection of advanced technologies and solutions, the AI course features seven engaging sessions, delivered in a concise, animated style. The course simplifies the basics of Artificial Intelligence in an enjoyable, straightforward manner with no previous technical knowledge.

Accessible online, entirely free of charge, and offered in both English and Arabic, it is open to everyone regardless of age, background, or profession and can be utilized at any time, from any location with an easy, free account.
