Study in Kazakhstan: A Unique Window to Discovering the Undiscovered Central Asian Culture!

Today, universities also have a huge responsibility for the social, socio-economic development of the country, and the welfare of the entire state depends on how successfully they develop. A key role in achieving and maintaining the status of the university is played by the process of internationalization which allows improving the quality of education and increasing the competitiveness of the university in the world system of higher education.

One of the most important tasks of humanity is to obtain higher education, especially in a highly competitive labor market. Bologna process seeks to harmonize European education systems within the framework of the Bologna Declaration with the aim of creation a single European higher education area. In March 2010 Kazakhstan officially joined the Bologna Declaration and became the 47th full member of the European Higher Education Area. 60 Kazakhstani universities signed the Magna Charta Universitatum (Great Charter of Universities), which was a huge achievement. Thus, there was a transition to a three-level model of education:  bachelor's degree, master's degree, and a PhD based on the principles of the Bologna Declaration.

Some of th important areas of interest for Kazakhstan are relations with Russia and the CIS countries. The Russian Federation has a priority place in the foreign policy of Kazakhstan. The legal framework for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia consists of more than two hundred treaties and agreements covering almost all areas of activity. Of these, more than 120 are signed by heads of state and government.

The agreement of five states (Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan) and the organization of the Customs Union also influenced the spread of educational practices between countries, the flow of teaching staff and students from the CIS countries increased. Currently, there is a process of simplifying the recognition of diplomas of EAEU universities. At the same time, the process of opening branches of foreign universities in the CIS countries is noted, which will affect the trend of outflow of students - citizens of CIS countries to their universities.

Kazakhstan has the greatest advantages in the field of technical and organizational knowledge and experience accumulated by its experts. Improving human and institutional capacity, providing basic services and applying advanced technologies are some of the most important conditions for development. Relations between Kazakhstan and the European Union have gained practical focus. An example of this is the creation in 1997 of a joint Kazakhstan-EU committee. Relations with France and Great Britain, Eastern Europe are constructively developing, and relations with Japan and the Republic of Korea are steadily strengthening. French centers have opened in the universities of Kazakhstan as well as Korean and Japanese cultural centers are operating in different town of our country.

According to statistics, 3,290 students from India studied in Kazakhstan last year. They receive their education mainly in our medical universities, as the profession of a doctor is considered prestigious. At the moment, students from our university are studying students from China, Afghanistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and other countries and Kazakhastan is readily welcoming students as well as the civilians to experience the country.
