The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a leading Russian university to strengthen academic collaboration and promote student and scholar exchange programmes.

The partnership between India and Russia establishes educational ties through cross-cultural learning and research collaboration and academic mobility opportunities for students and faculty members. The MoU was signed amid growing interest in expanding international cooperation and fostering global academic networks.

The agreement allows students from IIT Kharagpur and their Russian partner university to take part in exchange programs which will let them study abroad for at least one semester while earning academic credits.
