NCERT invites applications for its one-year Guidance and Counselling Diploma for 2027. Eligible teachers and education professionals can apply online

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has invited online applications for its Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling (DCGC) for the 2027 academic session. The one-year programme is designed for teachers, teacher educators, school administrators and guidance personnel seeking to strengthen their counselling skills and support students’ academic, social and emotional development. The last date to apply is November 6, 2026.

The course will run from January to December 2027 and combine distance learning, face-to-face training and practical experience. The first phase, from January to June, includes six months of distance learning. This will be followed by a three-month face-to-face contact programme from July to September, and a three-month internship from October to December. During the internship, participants will undertake practical training in their hometown or workplace.
