SST College of Arts and Commerce started in 2004 to provide the Indian youth education rooted on ethical values that would enable them to utilize their potential and creative abilities at the top echelon. The college is located in the commercial capital of India, Mumbai, Maharashtra, from where it is operating the education sector and making the students accountable and prolific elements of the society. SST College is a multi-faculty institution of higher education and has a capacity to teach more than 4,000 students in one academic session. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, SST College creates an idyllic environment for the students to pursue higher education and research. During its establishment, SST College thrived to become a premier institute of educational excellence. With every year, it is getting closer to being an invincible imparter of Arts and Commerce courses by forging a group of passionate workforce. SST College believes that students are bestowed with creative potentials that could alter the world in unique ways. So, in order to grant the students to realize their unique feats, SST College delivers Arts, Commerce and Science courses (for students of XI and XII) at its Jr. College (F.Y.J.C). And the mainframe undergraduate programs in Arts and Commerce include courses in Commerce, E-Commerce, Computer Science, Information Technology, History, Economics and Education. In fact, the college conducts three years self financial degree courses like B.M.S. (Bachelor of Management Studies), B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce) in Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, and Financial Markets, B.M.M. (Bachelor of Mass Media), B.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology. "The postgraduate courses that we offer are M.A. (Master of Arts) in History /Economics/Education/Politics. The curriculum also fosters commerce courses at the master's level which includes regular M.Com. and E-Commerce courses seperately," states Prof. Purswani, Founder Principal.

An excellent knowledge management structure helps SST College in developing students' personality holistically as it triggers the emotional, moral, intellectual, social and mental aptitudes of the students through this. In addition, it motivates the students in critical and lateral thinking, guides the transformation process of the students' dream into reality. "At SST College, we offer the students to work in small groups that aid the importance of working as a team. It enhances the students' supportive nature and helps them to gain experience and expertise in a diverse manner. This stimulates their enthusiasm to serve the industry and society better," explains Prof. Purswani. In between teaching, the teaching faculties stay busy in determining the best possible teaching methodologies as education in the new millennium requires technological innovation. Apart from the group of efficient faculties, SST College has enriched the learning paradigm with a hi-tech computer lab, college library where the students get access to a prosperous collection of print and non-print, primary and secondary material of various disciplines. "The college library augments learning and meets the academic needs of thousands of students and teachers with a range of books, periodicals and magazines on various subjects. In support to this, we have cd's, videos for further reference. The hi-tech computer lab has latest computers with modern software and internet access," asserts Prof. Purswani.
Highlighting the non-academic activities for the overall development of the students, SST College has introduced 'SST Laughter Yoga Club'. In this club, the first session of laughter yoga was conducted by world renowned laughter guru Dr. Madan Kataria in the college campus. Almost all the students participated and enjoyed the session. Other events like Guru Purnima is one where the students get to know the traditional aspects of Indian education. Another event that SST College conducts is Ekadashi to instill the importance of fasting in the eleventh day on bright half and dark half of the moon. This is done to imbibe the positive effects of fasting on the body and brain of the students.
Moreover, in paving the academic path for the students of XII Arts and Commerce, SST College has built a career guidance cell. The cell organizes career guidance seminars. According to the students, the seminars are very informative as it enlightens them on the various options available after completing XII. "SST College is an authorized study Centre of Skill India. It's a campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015 that aims to train over 40 crore people in India and inculcate a plethora of skills in them by 2022," sums up Prof. Purswani.
