JGLS Opens 2027 Law Admissions Through LNAT-UK
Synopsis: Jindal Global Law School opens Early Admissions for the 2027-28 academic year, making the LNAT-UK the mandatory entrance examination for all five-year integrated LLB and three-year LLB programmes.
Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), a constituent school of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), has announced the opening of its Early Admissions process for the 2027-28 academic year. The law school has made the Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT-UK) the mandatory entrance examination for admission to all five-year integrated LLB programmes as well as the three-year LLB programme, reinforcing its focus on merit-based and globally benchmarked admissions.
Under the revised admission process, applicants seeking admission to BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), BCom LLB (Hons.), and the three-year LLB programme must qualify through the LNAT-UK. JGLS remains the only law school in India that is a member of the LNAT Consortium, which is based at the University of Oxford and includes several leading international law schools. The university said the test evaluates candidates' critical thinking, reading comprehension, and analytical reasoning skills, ensuring a holistic assessment beyond academic scores.
The university has encouraged students to apply early, highlighting that early admission offers provide applicants with greater certainty regarding their academic plans while allowing them additional time to prepare for higher education. Candidates are required to complete both the JGLS application process and register separately for the LNAT-UK examination, with admission offers based on their performance in the test and fulfilment of the university's eligibility criteria.

JGLS offers a range of undergraduate law programmes that combine legal education with disciplines such as arts, business, and commerce. The curriculum emphasises interdisciplinary learning, international exposure, experiential education, and research-led teaching, supported by collaborations with leading universities and institutions across the world. The law school has consistently featured among India's top-ranked legal education institutions and has earned recognition in global university rankings.
The launch of the Early Admissions cycle reflects JGLS' continued emphasis on attracting high-performing students through a globally recognised admission framework. By adopting the LNAT-UK as the sole entrance examination for its flagship law programmes, the university aims to align its admissions process with international standards while identifying candidates with the aptitude and analytical skills required for legal education. The initiative is expected to provide aspiring law students with an early opportunity to secure admission and prepare for careers in the legal profession through a globally oriented academic environment.
