The life of Michael Bloomberg changed dramatically from being a middling high school student from Medford, Mass., who was averaging C's and had confined his ambitions to the math club to a social and political star while attending Johns Hopkins University in the early 1960s. By the time he left, the path way was cleared for him to have the determination and focus to start the company that bore his name and made him a billionaire. This is an exemplification of what a good college experience can do to transform the overall being of a student. As evident most teenagers who are pursuing their respective degrees are ready for the working world, and some are not even ready for a college campus. The four years of college turn adolescents into young adults and through the campus experience which includes living with different people, participating in activities and athletics, and being responsible for one's self; thus, preparing them ultimately to face life. The BALLARI Institute of Technology and Management, is one such establishment which is apt to mould such intuitive and bright students, which can be game changers for the industry.

Credibility: The Bite to the Bark

Credentialed with an ISO certification, the college also adopts the stipulations laid down by IM Moody International, and is also conferred with an ISO 9001:2008 and NBA Accredited Institution as per the Washington Accord(2009). Located on Bellary-Hospet Road which is exactly 11 Km from the main DC office; The BALLARI Institute of Technology and Management resides within corporation limits and networked with city buses which ply in fervent frequency. Apart from these, the college also facilitates 15 of their own private buses to cater to faculty as well as students. In times of medical emergency, the college is also equipped with its own ambulance facility to take care of students and an in-house dispensary located within the campus for catering to minor injuries and illnesses. This is all encapsulated in an umbrella of a campus which is spread over 11 acres of greenery, eco friendly surroundings.

Plethora of Facilities

In terms of infrastructure; its campus includes 3 hostels and a recreational area of which one is for girls and the other two for boys, each of which can accommodate a rough number of 450 students. With 3 in each room within a single block; all the hostels can sustain a headcount of a 1000 students. Security and discipline is maintained where students are monitored on their attendance through biometric punching of their thumbs and are penalized for failure to do so.

The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled with at a blistering speed of 10 Mbps for ease of access and also monitored as well as regulated according to convenient timings. Academically, the college facilitates multiple seminar halls ranging from a seating capacity from 100, 200 up to one of which has a maximum capacity of 640. Different blocks are allocated for different departments namely the electronic block, the admin and pg block which houses MBA, MCA and all PG programs.

The heart of all inculcation of knowledge for a college which is the library is centralized for all departments decked with internet facility, 400 students sitting capacity and biometric support for all its machinery and working right from book borrowing to returning.

The Mechanical Engineering Branch: The Jewel to Its Crown

Constructed in the year 2000, the establishment constructed the Dr.Raj Gopal block which houses only the entire mechanical engineering branch. This branch stands as one of the story for success as it has seen rapid growth in the past 5 years. This is evident where the intake of students initially 60 and has increased to 240 presently. BITM strived for this growth strategically by having a Mechanical Engineers Forum where professionals from various prestigious industries like Infosys Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd., iGate Patni, SLK Softwares, L&T IES, Siemens, Keane Software, L&T Infotech, Robosoft, KPIT Cummins, Tech Mahindra, JSW Steels, Reliance, ITC Ltd. and the like come and share their expertise. The forum also boosts up the morale of the students by conducting seminars, debates, and group discussions; all of which is pre scheduled before the start of every semester.

It is evident of the industries mentioned that the college engages students for internships during holidays as well as frequent industrial visits and is also valid for other branches as well. This is to ensure a healthy placement record which will further boost the Name of the institution.

The college boasts of its in house publication named Bhoomika which is in color and currently being run by the students, giving complete details of happenings of the college ranging from information and details of activities and participation, faculty and their growth as well as their development and the other aspects which are all going in the campus are put into this Bhoomika magazine.

Cultural activities transcend to cultural activities including annual day, friendship day, skit competitions, elocution and the like. One of the featured cultural activity; is the celebration of Ayudha Pooja which is celebrated with great pomp and show and including the whole headcount of the college, participated by all section of the students signifying diversity and unity.

Students learn more and retain more when they apply what they hear in the classroom through experiences in real life. Not all colleges provide easy access to these experiences, but for those that do like the BALLARI Institute of Technology & Management; students have the ability to be able bodied and productive citizens contributing to the well being of society.
