IEEE, edX team up to Develop Series of Online Education Courses

HER Team
IEEE is collaborating with edX, to offer massive open online courses (MOOCs) and other continuing professional education courses to a worldwide audience. The courses will be available at www.edX.org. "The course will provide students with a glimpse of evolving technologies from world experts in integrated circuits," said Anantha Chandrakasan, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, MIT. The firms are pleased to offer one of the first courses on the IEEEx platform, bringing the latest technology to students worldwide. The course was launched on 1 December. The course introduces several key circuit concepts and trends in a tutorial fashion, allowing participants to understand and appreciate the broad themes covered in the ISSCC. In a paced world where anyone hardly has the luxury for gaining some extra knowledge, during spare time, these courses will emulate other regular courses very neatly.
