We have known Tamil Nadu, to be one of the major south Indian hubs for giving quality education. But how many have heard of a small town under its territory, by the name Karur? A small town, filled with passionate youth, hungry for a chance to change their lives. The town only, has limited quality institutions to educate students to think creatively for bringing out a better change. With not many institutions to enlighten, equip and entertain students to face, the challenges of day to day, the NSN college of engineering and technology was established, in 2011. The college has since then, touched the lives of many. With a vision to take their students to greater heights, this institution commits itself and provides quality education. "We bring in industry experts to speak to our students because engineering is a way of thinking and not just basic education," says Koushik Selvam, Executive Trustee, NSN college of Engineering and Technology. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once said "Children are like buds in the garden and should be carefully nurtured as they are the future of the nation and citizens of tomorrow." This is what the college has been passionately doing ever since it's founding day. Having put Karur on the map, the college now plays a big hand in adding to the glow of the state of Tamil Nadu as a whole.

Education is the process of molding students, to help them attain and achieve their future goals. With a one of a kind curriculum, their syllabus is unique in its own way, mixing faculty with industry. This combination helps in the creation of, students with purpose and passion. The institution today thrives in providing students ready to take on the industrial world. Apart from educating students under its wings, the college also lets its faculty take a week of internship at industries once every semester. This process enables the faculty to come in later to teach about what the industry, at present is like. The focus is on the development in the technology world, which the college feels should be made known to its students through faculty teaching. This is a purely academic based gesture, presented in way without having to use the text books. In addition to that the college also hosts the highest number of visiting IIT professors. These experts come for sessions with students to give them an early taste of the industry life. "The ultimate aim of the college is to give industry ready students," adds Selvam. Investing all its resources, the college dedicates itself in breeding engineers who will work for the future and who will know what changes the future will need.

The institution also boasts of its placement tie ups. The names of some, in the list of many are TVS, Interlogic, Tessolve, G-Power, Sparkles, P-Span and BOSCH. With industry ready students, the college places its students in various power houses in the IT world. BOSCH in particular being interested, is currently recommending a student of NSN for a research and development plan. The college educates its students to be economic and user friendly. Engines that will reduce cost while increase the production. Students are also led in the right direction with proper examples being set for them in the form of their eco friendly campus. The entire campus is a green one, to help fight global warming.

Their future plan to set up a solar tree inside the campus is also one attractive aspect of their campus. Perhaps the first of its kind, the college is setting up the solar tree in January. They may also be the first campus in the country to have a solar tree. To improve its quality in the future, the institution will have industries inside the campus which will provide jobs to students. This will make them earn money and learn more about industries, while being able to pursue their course, full time. The college is now ready to host 5 national conferences after having successfully hosted 5 national seminars in the past. The future in the horizon is certainly looking bright for NSN and the students under its guidance.
