Dr. S.N. Tiwary, the Director of SIBM, is also a postgraduate teacher and recognized Ph.D. guide of Savitribai Phule Pune University in the management faculty, since 2000. Nine students have been conferred Ph.D. degree under his guidance. He is credited with 20 publications in economics newspaper such as Financial Express (central Article), Policy Journal like Yojana, Research Journal in the area of HRD, and Rural Development Management.

The world of business is dynamic, with advances in technology and shifts in the global economy; 'change' is the new normal for most organizations across all industries and sectors. In order to stay relevant in this competitive market, schools of business must adapt and enable each candidate to develop the demanding skills. Yadav in the year 2005, SIBM is counted among the top B-Schools in the nation. emphasis on innovation and creativity as the building blocks of pedagogy," says Dr. S.N. Tiwary, Director. At SIBM, the faculty members who are having extensive industrial experience along with academics, are conversant in diverse teaching approaches and brings out the best to the students. They go beyond the 'chalk and talk' system and deliver knowledge through using internet and multimedia devices, illustrations, video clips, Ted Talks, movies/documentaries and so on.

Students are motivated to participate actively in the teaching-learning process, learn from peers in groups, involve in brainstorming sessions, quizzes and take up case studies. Dr. Tiwary pinpoints, "The case study method of learning at SIBM involves understanding the case situation and followed by discussions, argument and providing feasible alternative solutions." Further, the facilities of smart classrooms and audio-video entrenched in the campus acts as a tool for effective concept development of the students. "Our students are exposed to practical based replication exercises that imitate the genuine business situations and provide students the first-hand experience on some of the real-world scenarios," opines Dr. Tiwary.

The institution has signed MoUs with Profound Edutech Pvt. Ltd. for initiating aptitude and communication training, with Corporate Bridge Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. for providing short-term courses, with Imperial Overseas Consultants for guiding students in foreign education and with Pariksha.co for administrating an online aptitude test platform.

A Platform to Flourish Comprehensively

University (SPPU), SIBM's 22 acres campus is located away from the cacophony of the metros on the foothills of Bhandara hill in an industrially developed area typically termed as "Golden Triangle" in Maharashtra, adjoined by M.I.D.C Industrial estates, Software Technology and Biotech parks. This business environment renders the students of SIBM to easily gain practical experiences from their surroundings. Following the curriculum of SPPU, the institution offers two years full-time MBA programme in 18 specializations, providing the students, the flexibility to choose specialization according to their goals. Dr. Tiwary claims, "Contemplating the evolving nature of management studies, the curriculum is revised in every three years by SPPU and includes the latest demanded competencies of the industry." To felicitate the research acumen of the students and teachers, SIBM has a Research and Development Cell. SIBM has a yearly research journal called "Siddhant Management Review" with "ISSN No 2395-3179 (Print)". The cell enables the researchers to accomplish superiority in their work, and eventually, interpret the vision of the creation of knowledge for the benefit of the Society into realism.

On the other side, students with an entrepreneurial bent are motivated by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SIBM to take part in Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps and Entrepreneurship enhancement programmes. "Our students are less in no aspect. They stand out in the crowd of business graduates coming out every year and are the first choice of the recruiters in the job market," states Dr. Tiwary. Under the supervision of Dr. Atul Kumar, Deputy Director of SIBM, the Training and Placement cell looks after the internship opportunities of the students followed by placement prospects. By the end of the course, students at SIBM are recruited by companies like Mahindra Logistics, Neon Healthcare, HDFC Ltd., Bajaj Allianz, just to name a few. "In future, we are looking forward to having more collaboration with reputed international institutions and research centers," concludes Dr. Tiwary.
