Cambridge to Accept CBSE Class 12 for Indian Students

The University of Cambridge has established the Cambridge-India Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) research center to enhance its academic ties with Indian researchers and strengthen its relationship with India's developing knowledge sector.

A senior Cambridge delegation announced the news in New Delhi to show that the university intends to build more partnerships while increasing its presence in India.

The Cambridge-India CAS serves as a primary platform for joint research and innovation research, which enables educational partnerships between Cambridge and Indian institutions. The organization will function as an umbrella body that oversees multiple programs, which foster knowledge exchange and impact policy development and enable organizations to work together across various disciplines.

The centre will establish its operations through various activities and partnerships, which will extend throughout different regions of India.

Cambridge established the new Cambridge India Research Foundation to create a funding system that allows alumni and public members and supporters to donate for scholarships and fees and research projects.

The foundation will assist Indian students studying at Cambridge while supporting research partnerships that result from extended collaboration between both parties.

During the visit, Cambridge's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Deborah Prentice, demonstrated how Indian academic institutions and innovators provide university research opportunities which create educational connections between India and the United Kingdom.

The launch created an additional connection between Indian students and one of the world's top universities by announcing that Cambridge would accept CBSE Class 12 qualifications for admission to certain undergraduate programs.

Cambridge University established its long-term partnership base and academic outreach program in India through these developments which strengthen both research and educational growth for the two institutions.
