China’s BIT Opens 2025 Scholarships for International Applicants

Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), among China's finest national universities, has invited applications for its 2025 Undergraduate Program for foreign students. Founded in 1940, BIT is generally known for excellence in education as well as world recognition. BIT is a part of China's prestigious "985 Project" and "Double First-Class" schemes and ranks regularly among the finest institutions nationally as well as internationally.

Famous for its meticulous science and engineering foundation, BIT also provides a wide range of programs in management and the humanities. The undergraduate program is designed to offer foreign students a rich academic experience, foster the cultivation of global talent, and create a dynamic and diverse campus culture.

Eligibility Criteria for the Beijing Institute of Technology International Student Scholarships is as follows:

  1. One must be a high school graduate or have equivalent qualifications eligible for university application.
  2. One must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport and in good health.
  3. Applicants must be aged between 18 and 25. Those under 18 must provide a guardian certificate from someone residing in Beijing.
  4. Applicants must comply with the regulations issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (JW〔2020〕No. 12).

Applicants will be selected on the basis of combination of academic merit, language skills, and performance in a holistic evaluation process. Academic performance will be evaluated through high school transcripts and other supporting qualifications. Based on the language of instruction selected, applicants will need to prove proficiency in Chinese or English. Candidates will also be asked to undergo an online academic proficiency test and a holistic interview as part of the evaluation process.
