Durham University to offer Inspiring Excellence 5K Scholarship
Durham University has unveiled the Inspiring Excellence 5K scholarship for exceptional international students. There is a total of 200 such scholarships, and each is an exceptionally competitive award. Each award amounts to £5,000 off the original tuition fee for a taught postgraduate programme. It pertains to the classes starting in September 2025. It will be accessible to all new international students at Durham University who satisfy the eligibility requirements.
To be considered for the Durham University Inspiring Excellence 5K Scholarship, applicants must submit their academic application for an eligible program along with all necessary documents. They must submit the application via the online portal for postgraduate applications.
The initial round of scholarship selection results will be revealed by May 4, 2025, and the subsequent round of scholarship selection will be published by June 8, 2025. In addition to submitting their academic application, students must also finalize the Inspiring Excellence 5K Scholarship Online application by April 30, 2025, for the initial round of selection, and by June 8, 2025, for the subsequent selection.
"If you do not get an academic offer prior to the deadline for the 1st round selection, or if you do not succeed in the 1st round scholarship selection, you will be automatically taken into account for the 2nd round selection." "The university statement also noted, 'You do not have to resubmit the scholarship application form.'"
The requirements for eligibility are as follows:
- The candidates must have submitted an application for a one-year, full-time (on-site) taught course, which may be an MA, MSc, MDS, or LLM degree.
- The course for which the applicant has submitted an application is set to commence in September 2025.
- They should be categorized as international students for the purpose of paying fees.
- The applicant must either fulfill or surpass the eligibility criteria for the programs stated above.
- They must be self-sustaining and not reliant on any external funding source. They may be eligible for the Durham International Scholarship, which provides a £5,000 reduction in tuition fees for students from India, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Vietnam.
