Raghu Vamsi Group, Sheffield AMRC Join Hands on Manufacturing
Raghu Vamsi Group partners with the University of Sheffield’s AMRC to advance aerospace manufacturing, superalloys, workforce development and its planned Telangana facility.
Hyderabad-based Raghu Vamsi Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in the United Kingdom to strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities and support its expansion into the aerospace and defence sectors.
The partnership will focus on superalloys, single-crystal castings, manufacturing innovation, supply chain efficiency and workforce development. It will also support the Group’s plans to establish a superalloys manufacturing facility and research and development centre in Telangana.

The agreement brings together the manufacturing capabilities of PT-PMC, part of Raghu Vamsi Group, and AMRC’s research and innovation expertise. The organisations will work to improve manufacturing processes across PT-PMC’s UK operations and introduce advanced, digitally enabled production practices. They will also explore specialised technologies to address the evolving requirements of the aerospace and defence industries.
A key objective is to transfer expertise in superalloys and single-crystal castings to the Group’s proposed Telangana facility. These advanced materials and manufacturing techniques are important for applications requiring high strength and performance under demanding operating conditions.
The collaboration will also examine ways to improve supply-chain links between India and the UK. AMRC will assess logistics, carbon impact and inventory associated with material movement between the two countries. The partners will explore operational improvements and prepare PT-PMC for relevant aerospace and defence industry accreditations.
Workforce development forms another part of the agreement. PT-PMC has already invested in four apprentices who began their programmes on September 1, 2026. Through collaboration with the AMRC Training Centre, the Group plans to explore specialised apprenticeships, technical training and workforce upskilling.
Raghu Vamsi Group Managing Director Vamsi Vikas Ganesula said the partnership would help bring advanced manufacturing expertise to India and support the development of Telangana’s superalloys sector. Rushabh Shah of the University of Sheffield AMRC highlighted opportunities to strengthen the Group’s UK operations while supporting its Indian business with global manufacturing capabilities.

The MoU will remain in effect for an initial three-year period. Specific projects, work packages and funding arrangements will be addressed through separate agreements. The collaboration is expected to strengthen industrial ties between India and the UK while supporting the Group’s long-term manufacturing ambitions.
