The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) is currently accepting applications for its 64th Graduate Study Programme (GSP) 2026, a prestigious and long-running educational initiative that offers graduate students worldwide a unique look into the workings of the United Nations and multilateral diplomacy. The application process for this program will end soon, so candidates who want to apply should complete their applications before the deadline.
The Graduate Study Programme is in its sixth decade of operation during which time it has educated approximately 3500 students from 120 different nations about global governance and policy-making and international relations.
The 64th edition of the GSP will take place at the historic Palais des Nations in Geneva which is part of Switzerland from June 29 to July 10 2026 with its main theme "AI and Emerging Technologies: Realities Risks and Opportunities."
The thematic orientation demonstrates how emerging technologies have become essential tools for creating international policy frameworks and facilitating global diplomatic partnerships.

The programme functions as an academic seminar which lasts two weeks and includes multiple teaching methods through its combination of lectures and research discussions and interactive group work and essential UN and international institution visits.
Participants will gain first-hand exposure to how "International Geneva" functions as a centre for global diplomacy and policy dialogue, and earn opportunities to network with experts and peers from around the world.
Applicants need to understand that GSP participation has no fees but UN funding does not cover travel and accommodation expenses which candidates must either arrange themselves or obtain from sponsors or educational institutions.
The United Nations Graduate Study Programme offers graduate students an exceptional opportunity to study multilateral systems while establishing international professional relationships for their academic development.
