Anna University Reprieves Affiliated College Students with Arrears
Up to 10,000 students may gain advantages since Anna University has chosen to organize a special arrear exam for undergraduate and postgraduate students who have used up their allowed opportunities to resolve arrears. The test is expected to take place in June or July this year.
For undergraduate programs at the university, students are allowed three extra years to finish their BTech degrees, giving them 14 semesters to pass the exams. Individuals who have utilized all 14 opportunities will receive one more chance to pass the exam.
“The arrear exam will be conducted for students who have exhausted the maximum time limit prescribed in the university regulations. This applies only to students from non-autonomous affiliated colleges of Anna University,” the university said in a statement. The special examination will be held at selected centres based on the number of student registrations. The
Possible locations consist of Chennai, Villupuram, Arni, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruchy, Madurai, Tirunelveli, and Nagercoil. Students were able to sign up online for the exam on the Anna University website - coe1.annauniv.edu. Detailed instructions for registering are available on the portal. The online registration will close on May 17.
The university registrar announced that additional information will be made available to students on or after May 27 on the university's website.
