IIM Indore launches AI & digital skills course for pros

• IIM Indore launches AI, Digital Transformation certificate starting September 25.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has introduced a Certificate Programme in Digital Transformation and AI for Leaders to commence on September 25, 2025, aiming to prepare professionals for a future shaped by AI in workplaces. According to the PwC Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2024, more than half of the employees surveyed anticipate work-related changes to be very significant in the next 5 years, while only 46% say their organisation offers them sufficient upskilling opportunities.

The IBM Global AI Adoption Index 2023 reports that 42% of companies are already using AI in their operations, with 40% testing AI-based tools, and Gartner's 2024 CFO survey shows that 62% of CFOs believe AI will be the first business impactor for the next three years. The AI market in India is projected to surpass $17 billion by 2027.

The online program runs for 22 weeks, costs Rs 1,25,000, and is designed for senior leaders and functional heads who are redesigning their business models and launching new lines of business. The course consists of more than 130 recorded lectures, puzzles, assignments, master classes, and a capstone project that emphasizes the interplay of theory and practice.

Participants will take part in 4+ industry-led master classes, and 12 discussion forums to foster peer learning. Topics covered in the curriculum include designing AI strategies to facilitate efficiency, designing new business models, leveraging technology to improve customer personalization, and managing risk of digital adoption.

Upon finishing the program with a minimum of 70% in assessments and at least 50% attendance in videos, live sessions, and masterclasses, learners will receive a digital certificate from IIM Indore and will be eligible to apply for IIMI Executive Education Alumni status, which opens up professional networks and lifelong learning. The program will enhance learners' existing knowledge by establishing a comprehensive base of knowledge around digital transformation and AI to unlock potential future applications in an evolving, engaging, and strategic manner.
