The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has always been the most sought-after institution in India for higher education and advanced research.
Although IIT Delhi has always been recognized for its BTech and MTech programmes, IIT Delhi has increasingly added a variety of short-term, certificate, diploma, and interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes in recent years, addressing industry growth, flexible learning options, and student demands. The BTech in Design is a four-year bachelor’s program provided by the recently established Department of Design at IIT Delhi. This program combines creativity and technology, exposing students to industrial, communication, and interaction design. Admission occurs via the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) rather than JEE Advanced. The course adheres to the standard BTech fee scheme of IIT Delhi.
The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is a four-year undergraduate program offered by the Department of Chemistry. It provides a strong base in both basic and applied chemical sciences, preparing graduates for careers in research, pharmaceuticals, and other related professional fields. Enrollment in this course relies on qualifying via JEE Advanced 2025.
The Certificate in Finance for Non-Finance Professionals is a six-month course provided through the Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at IIT Delhi. It targets graduates and working individuals from non-financial fields, providing them with critical financial knowledge and management abilities. The cost of the program is Rs 1,50,000.

The Supply Chain Management Certificate is a six-month program that includes practical knowledge and a strategic perspective on supply chain systems, operations, and logistics. Available for graduates and professionals at mid-career levels, this course is also provided through the CEP and has a cost of Rs 1,50,000.
The Semiconductor Technology and Manufacturing Certificate is a six-month course centered on semiconductor fabrication, microelectronics, and VLSI design. Designed for engineers, science graduates, and early-career individuals in electronics, this course bolsters India’s expanding aspirations in the semiconductor industry. The cost of the program is Rs 1,50,000.
The MTech and PhD programmes are postgraduate degree offerings from IIT Delhi’s new international campus in Abu Dhabi. The MTech programme has a duration of two years, while the PhD programme has a variable duration. These programmes focus on key areas such as sustainable technologies, energy, and data science. Eligibility requires a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree along with GATE or an equivalent qualification.
Several interdisciplinary undergraduate and postgraduate course options have been launched with adaptable curricula as part of the 2025–26 academic year reforms. These consist of modules in AI, healthcare tech, humanities integration, and skill-oriented minors, providing students the opportunity to create customized academic journeys.
