IIT Jammu Launches BTech in Engineering Physics via JEE 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu (IIT Jammu) has launched a BTech program in Engineering Physics. Admission will be finalized through the JEE Advanced 2025 scores via JoSAA counselling, with 25 seats available.
The IIT Jammu curriculum includes semiconductors, quantum sensors, quantum computers, batteries, and solar cells, along with theoretical, experimental, and computational studies, such as nano and micro-fabrication and computational materials design.
Students enrolled in the IIT Jammu program will gain access to prospects in academia, industry, and governmental research institutions. Simultaneously, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has published the comprehensive timetable for the 2025 counselling procedure. Only those candidates who have passed JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025 can participate in JoSAA counselling and the seat assignment process.

Counselling for this year will occur in five phases, featuring a unique final phase solely for IIT and NIT+ institutions. Students who pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will be permitted to choose architecture-specific options starting June 8, following the announcement of the AAT results.
To assist candidates in making informed decisions, JoSAA will release two mock seat allotments, the initial one on June 9 and the subsequent one on June 11. This will rely on the preferences submitted up to those dates.
Candidates are required to finalize their selections by June 12. The results for seat allocation in the first round will be announced on June 14, following required verification and data alignment.
Furthermore, IIT Kanpur will announce the JEE Advanced 2025 results on June 2, 2025, via the official website jeeadv.ac.in. Students seeking admission to architecture programs must also pass the AAT to be considered for those particular positions.
