IIT Roorkee Announces several Scholarships for UG & PG Students

Numerous scholarships are provided to students by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in order to help them pursue their undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) studies in engineering, architecture, applied sciences, and planning.

One of the best institutes in India, IIT Roorkee, provides bachelor's degrees in 10 disciplines and offers master's degrees in 55 disciplines. IIT Roorkee offers research and doctoral programs across various departments.

The James Thomason Scholarship is available for students taking the BTech, BArch, Integrated dual degree (IDD), Integrated MSc (IMS), and BS/MS programs. Eligible students are those accepted via JEE (Advanced) with an all-India rank of 250 or below.

The Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship assists undergraduate students by providing a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 for 10 months, in addition to reimbursing the remaining tuition fees, determined by academic achievement and financial circumstances.

The Dr. S.K. Goel and Mrs. Kusum Goel Scholarship awards ₹2 lakh annually to four undergraduate students facing financial hardships who are joining the institute.

The INSPIRE SHE Scholarship, managed by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), assists science students who rank in the top 1% of their Class 12 board exams or have passed tests such as JEE, NEET, or KVPY. The scholarship covers both UG and PG levels and is offered to students in scientific fields at accredited institutions.

A special scholarship for two underprivileged engineering students provides Rs 1,000 each year to each of them. Students must keep a minimum CGPA of 7.0 to keep receiving the benefit.

These scholarships seek to recognize academic achievement and guarantee that deserving students.
