MHA Launches Winter Cybercrime Internship via I4C

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), via its Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), has launched the Winter Internship 2025, targeted at undergraduate and postgraduate students keen on cybersecurity and digital forensics. The deadline to apply for the Winter Internship Programme 2025 is October 17, 2025.

Applicants must confirm that all necessary documents are submitted when applying, as they will be thoroughly examined throughout the selection process. Selection will rely on the thorough and confirmed documentation provided by every applicant.

This internship provides practical experience in cybercrime investigation, digital forensics, and national security operations, enabling participants to collaborate with experienced professionals and make significant contributions to public safety. Individuals enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD programs across various fields are invited to apply for the 14C Winter Internship Programme.

These encompass areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Communication Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Cyber Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.

Individuals with legal education such as LLB or LLM, along with those pursuing Criminology or Sociology, are also invited to apply. The program invites applicants from any field connected to cyberspace, technology, or cybercrime, such as Blockchain Technology, dark web knowledge, ethical hacking credentials, API or software development, automation, malware analysis and reverse engineering, and content creation.

Also, individuals studying for a BA or MA in Journalism, Mass Communication, New Media, or Digital Journalism; those with diplomas or degrees in digital media, content writing, graphic design, or video editing; and students enrolled in an MA or diploma in Events or PR Studies, along with BBA or MBA focusing on Data Analytics, can take part.

Steps to apply for the Winter Internship Programme 2025:

–Visit the official site: i4c.mha.gov.in.

–Select the “What’s New” tab.

– Obtain the Internship SOP, containing the application form and commitment.

–Complete the form and submit all necessary documents.

–Submit your application via the Google Form link included in the SOP.

Candidates who have been shortlisted will receive notifications from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) within four to five weeks following the application deadline. The internship does not offer payment, and I4C or the corresponding state and UT police departments will not supply accommodation. Upon successfully finishing the programme, participants will obtain an official certificate from I4C acknowledging their experience and contributions.
