Set up with a vision to work towards shaping the minds of students to become better human beings with a higher intellect for a better tomorrow, Burhani College has been educating youth since 1970. Located in the heart of South Mumbai, this institution is a brainchild of the 52nd leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, the late His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin,who had set a vision for the institution which is- ‘Knowledge for all’. The college is now guided by the late Syedna’s son and the 53rd leader of the community, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin .
Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, Burhani College offers six undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The college offers Masters in Commerce as a post-graduate program. At the undergraduate level, the college offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S) offering 3 elective of Marketing, Human Resource and Finance, Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media and Communication (B.A.M.M.C) offering 2 electives of Advertising and Journalism. Along with these courses, the college also offers a Junior College in Commerce and Arts, and Certificate courses in vital life skills under the Sciences of the Home program.
They have recently collaborated with the prestigious Harvard Business School Online (HBSO) and offer certification courses such as Design Thinking and Innovations, Entrepreneurship Essentials, Leadership Principles which have benefited the participants tremendously and enabled them to create a global connection and network.
