The Department boasts a 20+ acre on-campus experimental farm, where students engage in hands-on crop production, pest management, and sustainable practices. Cutting-edge infrastructure includes high-tech laboratories. To keep pace with modern agriculture, students are trained in smart irrigation systems, and precision farming techniques. The department maintains active collaborations with KVKs, ICAR institutes, and leading agribusiness companies, ensuring industry exposure and research linkages.

These include academic programs like Kisan Mela, Krishak Sangosthi, and national seminars, as well as cultural and social initiatives such as DJ Night, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Spandan (annual sports and cultural fest), and Blood Donation Camps. Each event offers students valuable exposure, practical experience, and a vibrant campus life. This includes Kisan Mela – Farmer-Student Connect, which is an annual mega event. Kisan Mela-2025 brings together farmers, scientists, and agri-startups for knowledge sharing, innovation demonstrations, and rural development initiatives.

A key platform for student-farmer interaction, DJ Night – Celebrating Youth Energy, the university hosted a mega DJ night featuring Punjabi singer Parmish Verma, creating unforgettable memories and celebrating cultural unity through music and dance. Spandan, the university’s annual sports and cultural fest, is a much-awaited celebration of talent, teamwork, and energy. Students participate in a wide range of activities including athletics, cricket, volleyball, debates, dance, drama, and music competitions, fostering holistic development and campus vibrancy.

As part of this national initiative, the university celebrates Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat – Unity in Diversity, through traditional dance, regional food festivals, language learning, and inter-state cultural exchanges, nurturing national integration and mutual respect. As a service to society, the institute organized blood donation camp by NSS and Red Ribbon Club, which reflects the university’s strong commitment to community health and social responsibility.
