Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST) is one of the oldest private universities in Egypt. The idea behind the establishment of MUST by the late professor SouadKafafi is to provide Middle income class of Egyptian families with high quality level of higher education in order to support national and regional economic development plans. Each year MUST admitted only 1:5 percentage of registered students, which reflects the excellent reputation of MUST among Egyptian Universities.

For the first time, Misr University for Science and Technology is ranked 732 in the world out of 7,533 universities, and governmental and private research institutions according to the classification of Scimago, an International Foundation accredited locally and internationally for the classification of international universities and research institutions due to their influence in the field of research, innovation, and social impact. MUST was ranked 17th at the level of Egyptian universities (governmental, civil, and private) and No. 2 among Egyptian private and civil universities as well.
