Nagarjuna Degree College was established in the year 2013 under the aegis of Nagarjuna Education Society (NES), which was formed in the year 1995-96. One of the top-notch institutions in Bangalore with a state-of-the-art campus located in Yelahanka Bengaluru, the College offers graduate programs in Commerce (BCom), Management (BBA), Computer Applications (BCA), Pure Science (BSc in PCM & EMCS) and Fashion (BSc in Fashion and Apparel Design). It also offers post-graduate programs in Management (MBA) and Commerce (M. Com). To impart crucial job skills and increase the employability and entrepreneurial potential of the students, Nagarjuna Degree College has introduced many Professional Certificate courses like CA, CMA, Aviation, Business Analytics, SPSS, Digital Marketing, NISM, Six Sigma, Logistics and Supply Chain Management etc.

It also conducts training programs in Soft-skill Development, Tally, GST, Neuro-linguistics etc. Students are also trained for Competitive examinations for Government

services, Banks, Higher studies in India and Abroad and the College has MOU with many professional national and international organizations like ISDC, London; Lincoln University, Malaysia; ACA, London.

Some of the topics for students’ activities, workshop, seminar include ‘Art of Writing Research Paper’,‘Campus to Corporate Training Program workshop’, ‘Decoding the Future of Workforce: Industry 4.0’,‘Yoga for life style management’,‘Financial Instruments’, ‘Work-shop on Preparation of Project Report’, ‘Anti-sexual harassment laws’, ‘Micro analysis of financial statements’, ‘Women’s Health and Well-being Awareness’, ‘Case Study Analysis -Top CSR Companies in India’, and so on.

On the National Science Day, the college conducted guest lectures, students presented their research projects and there was an exhibition of their models. Seven-day workshop on IOT was conducted by the faculty of IIT, Roorkee. Inter-Collegiate fest ‘IKYA-PRAVEGA’ conducted by the college gives an exposure to the students to build their confidence, boost their morale and helps them to showcase their talents. Students also participate in the Intra-College Commerce fest ‘Potenzia 2K19’,‘Kautilya 2021’ and it gave them an opportunity to conduct and coordinate the program.

Bridging The Gap Between Industry and Academics
Striving to bridge the financial gap which often prevents students from pursuing higher education and rewards academic success, NDC offers many scholarships to meritorious students, sports quota, Nagarjuna Pre-University students, Students under Category SC/ST/OBC from the weaker section of the society and CRPF students.

NDC tries to bridge the gap between industry and academics

by exploring opportunities and strengthening the skill of the students through various training programs and certificate courses. NDC has collaborations with many blue-chip companies like NCC group, TCs, Infosys, Global Garner etc. The students have numerous placement and internship opportunities in these companies in different areas of their interest.

The college conducts Faculty development Programmes (FDP) every year for in-house as well as faculty members of other colleges across India. The topics range from ‘Outcome Based Learning’, ‘Workshop on Using Excel and other tools for Online Teaching Tools’, ‘Research Methodology in Social Sciences’, ‘Workshop on Case Writing’, ‘Conscious Facilitation’, ‘Effective Communication for Professional Development’, ‘Emotional Intelligence for Teaching’, ‘International Conference on Innovations in Technology, Business and Management’ and many more.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of the Nagarjuna Degree College has been functioning with the motto ‘NOT ME BUT YOU’ in view of making the youth in-spired in service of the people and hence NSS Aims Education through Community Service and Community Service through Education.

The Ranga Chaitanya theatre clubs of NDC conducts dramas and camps with students im-parting theater education and creates awareness about the various social problems in our society. NDC students have rigorously participated in various sports events like All India University American football Competitions and All India University Rugby Competition held at KIIT University Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, State Level Taekwondo Championship at R L Jallappa Institute of Technology, Doddaballapura, State Level Fencing Championship, Annual Inter-Institutional Athletic Meet, Karnataka State Junior Kickboxing Championship, Kick Boxing National Federation Cup Championship, Karnataka CM cup, All India University Fencing Competition held at GNDU Amritsar, South Zone Inter-University Cricket Competition, University Kabaddi Tournament etc. to name a few.
