Established by the Arch-diocese of Goa and Daman in June 1990, Rosary College of Commerce & Arts is managed by the Diocesan Society of Education and is a minority institution under Article 30(1) of the Indian Constitution. Recognized by the Government of Goa, the college has been granted 2(f) and 12B status under the University Grants Commission Act. Located in a rural area, Rosary College of Commerce & Arts is the largest in South Goa district of Goa and the second largest in the State, in terms of student enrolment. The College is a co-ed institution, with almost two-thirds of the students being girls, providing undergraduate degree programs in Commerce, Arts, Computer Applications, Business Administration and Business Administration (Travel & Tourism), besides a postgraduate degree program in Commerce. Recently the College has started a Research Centre (Ph.D.) in Commerce affiliated to Goa University. The programs offered by the College are both aided as well as self-financed.

Guided by its vision and mission statements, objectives and core values, Rosary College of Commerce & Arts has been rendering yeoman service of extending holistic education with state-of-the-art facilities, without regard to caste, creed and economic background while always keeping in the foreground the needs of the underprivileged. The Institution has always stood for progress as evidenced by the NAAC re-accreditation (Third Cycle) resulting in an A Grade with a CGPA of 3.29 on a 4 point scale; the phenomenal increase in enrolment; the number of foreign students admitted; the professional success of its alumni; the numerous awards won in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities; and, the fact that the excellent performance of the College at the Goa University Sports Championships.

Placed in the slab of 101 - 150 top Colleges in India at the NIRF 2017 rankings in the category of Colleges, Rosary College of Commerce & Arts was also ranked 75th in Commerce, 78th in Arts, 76th in BCA and 116th in BBA in the India Today rankings of 2019. The institute provides professional coaching for students to train them for Chartered Accountancy (CA) - Common Proficiency Test (CPT), IAS, UPSC, Banking Exams and NET/SET. The College also conducts career-oriented certificates and skill-based courses for the students every year. The College has signed a number of collaborations /linkages/MoUs and is associated with numerous national and state-level institutions for academic and non-academic support to provide students with continuing and distance education as well as to impart skills, training and career guidance. Some of these institutions include IPGATES, HCL, MSME, I-Create/GCCI, Times of India, Go-gate Jogalekar College (Ratnagiri), St. Aloysius College (Mangalore), St. Joseph's College (Trichi), People's Tree (Belagavi), CIBA, Schumacher Society, Delhi, Bajaj Finserv Limited, Pune, TISS, T.I.M.E and many more.

Delivering Perfection with Effective Teaching and Facilitates
Rosary College of Commerce & Arts is reputed for its excellent ambiance and infrastructure. Among other things, the College has seven computer laboratories, one Psychology laboratory, one

Commerce laboratory, one Multimedia room, two Seminar Halls, one Conference Hall, besides, a fully automated library with provisions of photocopiers, interactive panels, biometric recorders, kiosks (information to be retrieved through MIS), kindles, e-tablets, intranet, WiFi connectivity, etc. Besides numerous books and e-journals, the library provides access to e-resources through INFLIBNET / N-list and DELNET. As part of the Rosary Educational Complex, the College has access to a full-fledged stadium, besides other playgrounds. Rosary College of Commerce & Arts also has fourteen inhouse publications.

Dr. Simao R.Diniz adds, "Our students have consistently performed well at the Goa University Examinations. The college secured the 1st and the 3rd rank in the Arts stream and the 1st rank in the Commerce stream at the 2017-2018 Third Year Examinations held by Goa University. Our passing percentage in Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Arts during the last five years from 2014-15 was above 90 percent whereas in Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Computer Applications and Bachelor of Business Administration (Travel & Tourism) it was above 95 percent. In the Post-Graduation program of Commerce, our passing percentage during the last five years was above 90 percent."
