RVS College of Physiotherapy was established in the year 1993 as a branch of R.V.S Educational Trust under the supreme guidance and leadership of their Founder and Chairman Lion. Vijayashree Dr. K. V. Kupusamy. Rathinavel Subramaniam Educational Trust (RVSET) was established in 1983 as a public charitable Trust, in fond memory of Master Rathnavel Subramaniam the elder son of the Chairman Dr. K.V. Kuppusamy and K. Padmavathy, with the objectives to create facilities for education, health care and upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden especially of rural territories.

RVS College of Physiotherapy is into its fourth decade, meeting the educational needs of aspiring physiotherapists. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution, affiliated to `The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University' and recognized by `The Indian Association of Physiotherapists'. Since its inception in 1993, the institute has set many milestones starting with Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 1993, Master of Physiotherapy degree in 2000 and Ph.D Program in 2017.

The role played by the teaching faculty of RVS College of Physiotherapy is not only to instill scrupulous knowledge in the students but making the students learn moral values and social etiquette's to treat patients even in stressful situation ethically and establish friendly rapport with everyone to become a successful physiotherapists".

A training and placement cell is functioning effectively in the college. Potential skillfull students are identified and recruitment is ensured by the cell. Our students were placed in India as well as in every corner of the world. Campus placements are arranged for our college students and we invite all the best possible hospitals to recruit our students. The campus placements are held during the student's internship period. Students in the last passed out year were placed in reputed hospitals and few opted for higher studies in India and abroad. Apart from education

and research, RVS College of Physiotherapy has a plan to launch a rehabilitation center with a core value of serving people who are economically backward and under rural regions by providing cost effective treatments.

RVS College of Physiotherapy has been completing 29 years of services to the cause of education for needy students. It is the first college under The TN.Dr.M.G.R Medical University to start Ph.D program in the year 2017. Also, the highly knowledgeable three research guides among the five recognized research guides for Ph.D. program in the TN.Dr.M.G.R Medical University belongs to the faculty members of RVS College of Physiotherapy. Their honorable secretary Dr.R.Nagarani was awarded Best Teacher and Best Physiotherapist awards in 2011 & 2012 respectively from The TN.Dr.M.G.R Medical University as well.

Apart from all this, the three excellent skilled teaching faculties of the college have received the best teacher award from The TN.Dr.M.G.R Medical University in the years 2012. All this goes to show the quality of the faculty at the institute and their commitment to impart top-notch education to their students. going forward, RVS College of Physiotherapy continues to improve the quality of their education and become synonymous with world class education.

Dr.R.Nagarani, Founder Principal
Dr.R.Nagarani being the founder Principal of RVS College of Physiotherapy has been providing her services as Principal for 28 years from the inception of the college and now she has been promoted as the secretary of RVS Institute of Health Sciences & Ayurveda College. After that Dr.M.K.Franklin Shaju, who has been working in the college for the past 18 years, being the first batch student of the college has been promoted as Principal.
