The Dental education and healthcare sector in India faces significant challenges, including the need for industry-relevant training, access to advanced technology, and bridging the gap between academia and clinical practice. Due to demand for professional dental care services and modern technology, there is a strong need for dental institutions to prepare students for the evolving landscape of Dental Health. It is important to focus on providing equal access to education for socially disadvantaged students and carrying out research to improve public health. There is an expected continuous growth in this field, which will include a strong focus on digital approaches, working harmoniously with other experts, and giving back to the community through better medical care.

SGT Dental College Hospital & Research Institute addresses these challenges through a comprehensive approach that integrates cutting-edge education, hands-on clinical training, and impactful research for the students. With a campus covering a massive 70 plus acres outside of Gurgaon, the institute has earned NAAC A+ accreditation, demonstrate their desire for excellence. Through the development of industry-aligned curricula, facilities, and international partnerships, SGT Dental College guarantees that their students are well equipped to meet the demands of the modern dental industry and contribute to the healthcare needs of society.

Industry Alignment and Faculty Excellence

“Every year, there are at least 30 to 40 workshops focusing on various fields of dentistry and practical applications that help our students develop their skills”, says Dr Omkar Shetty. SGT Dental College encourages students to conduct research from their first year, participating in intra and extramural projects and even applying for ICMR’s Short-Term Studentship. During the past two years, the institute has released more than 570 research findings, demonstrating its dedication to improving dental science. Joining researchers from Manipal University, Malaysia, Aimst University, Malaysia and professionals from the Board of Studies through industry-academia cooperation means the syllabus covers up-to-date industry needs.
