Formerly known as Shirdi Sai Engineering College, Sri Sairam College of Engineering was established in the year 1997 by a well-known philanthropist and Social Worker M.J.F Lion Leo Muthu, whose motto was to build a better nation through quality education. To innovate, research and develop in the technological realm, various government and funding agencies like AICTE, DST, VTU, KSCST, IEI, VGST and many more have sanctioned

and approved nearly about Rs. 2 crores of grants towards projects. At present, the institution specifically concentrating R&D on 3D Printing, Composites, Renewable energy, Embedded system design, Adhoc Networks and so on. “One of our core objectives is to promote knowledge based and technology driven projects which are useful to the present society by harnessing young student minds and their highly innovative potential brain in an academic environment.
