From its humble beginnings, the University of Chichester has gone through various phases, starting out as a teach-er training college in 1840 and growing into a modern, forward-looking university. Today, the University has two campuses- one in the historic Roman city of Chichester and one in the popular seaside resort of Bognor Regis - and hosts around 5,500 students. A Wide Range of Subject Areas
The University offers a broad spectrum of majors across a wide range of disciplines, which currently include business, accounting, finance, computer science, psychology, law, music, sport, dance, film, theatre, and creative digital technologies. It also offers courses in the arts and humanities.

Given its history as a teacher training institute, it comes as no surprise that the University continues to enjoy a strong reputation for its courses in education and teaching. In terms of student satisfaction, several courses offered by the University, such as Business Management, Dance, Humanistic Counselling, Sports and Exercise Science, Sports Therapy, and Early Years Foundation Degree, were able to achieve 100 percent overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey, 2022. Furthermore, courses like Creative Writing, Animation, and Child-hood and Youth Studies ranked among the top five courses for overall satisfaction. The Guardian University Guide (2022) also recognized the University of Chichester as among the top 25 institutes in the UK, ranking the university at number seven in overall student satisfaction with teaching facilities.

International Student Support
In addition to tailored courses and a broadly supportive university experience, overseas students at the University of Chichester will also have access to various services aimed at helping them specifically, as inter-national students, adapt to life on campus.

The International Student Advisory Service (ISAS) exclusively offers an array of services designed specifically for international students. The services are inclusive of prearrival as well as post-arrival orientation, information about visas, managing finances, health precautions, accommodation, and much more.

The university addresses inter-national students'concerns around language transition through the International Academic and Language Support Scheme (IALS). The service provides a single point of contact, language profiling, language classes, and language support to any student seeking help.

In the area of student wellbeing, the University of Chichester offers students health and wellbeing facilities, where they can seek resolution for concerns related to physical as well as mental health.

Career Preparation
When it comes to career preparation, the University of Chichester incorporates elements of preparation for the real world of work into the curriculums of many of its courses (known as `career-in-the-curric-ulum'), so that students have extensive practical, career-oriented preparation, in addition to theoretical training.

In addition, the Careers and Employability Service puts students in touch with employers and prepares them for interviews, as well as providing guidance in the prepara-tion of students' CVs.
