CLAT 2026 Registration Closes Soon: Apply by Oct 31

The registration procedure for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026, organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), is coming to a close. Individuals intending to take the exam must finalize their online registration by October 31, 2025, via the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2026
The national entrance exam will take place in-person on December 7, 2025 (Sunday), between 2 PM and 4 PM. The CLAT exam is held for entry into undergraduate and postgraduate law courses provided by 22 National Law Universities and other participating colleges throughout India.
To be eligible for the CLAT 2026 UG programme (five-year integrated law degree), candidates need to achieve at least 45 percent marks in Class 12 or a similar examination. For candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, the minimum passing marks are 40 percent.
There is no maximum age restriction for the UG course. To apply for the CLAT 2026 PG programme (one-year LLM degree), candidates must possess an LLB degree or a comparable qualification from an accredited university with a minimum of 50 percent marks. Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories need at least 45 percent marks. The PG programme also has no age restrictions.

The CLAT 2026 registration will open on August 1, 2025, and applications will be accepted until October 31, 2025. The test is planned to take place on December 7, 2025. Applicants can submit their applications online by following the instructions available on the official CLAT website.
Registration process for CLAT 2026:
— Go to the official site at consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2026
— Select the “CLAT 2026 Registration” option shown on the main page.
— Sign up by supplying the necessary information and establishing login credentials.
— Re-enter to complete the application form, submit documents, and make the application payment.
— Once the submission is complete, download and print the confirmation page for future use.
The CLAT 2026 test will take place in one session from 2 PM to 4 PM. The examination will take place in-person at multiple locations throughout India. The entrance exam offers admission chances to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in 22 National Law Universities and various affiliated institutions. Applicants are advised to finalize the application procedure before the cutoff to prevent any last-minute technical problems.
