  • NEET SS 2025 postponed from November to December 27–28.
  • Two daily sessions scheduled—morning and afternoon—for all candidates.
  • NBEMS adds separate groups for Medical Oncology and Critical Care.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has updated the timetable for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2025. Originally scheduled for November 7 and 8, the test will now take place on December 27 and 28, 2025.

As per the official announcement, the updated dates have been endorsed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Although the announcement verifies the revised schedule, it does not detail the reasons for the delay.

The NEET SS examination is conducted to qualify candidates for different DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Speciality programs in accordance with Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, as no alternative test, whether at the state or institutional level, will be accepted for admission into these programs.

The NEET SS 2025 exam is now scheduled for December 27 and 28. Every day, it will take place in two sessions: the first from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, and the second from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. In addition to the updated dates, NBEMS has stated that the information bulletin for DrNB Super Speciality will soon be available on its official website, natboard.edu.in. Candidates are encouraged to check the portal frequently for more updates, comprehensive instructions, and key announcements concerning the examination.

The National Board of Examination Medical Science (NBEMS) implemented two new modifications to the exam format last year. The two modifications implemented by the Board are outlined below; the remainder of the examination scheme remains unchanged for all groups.

— For the DM/DrNB Medical Oncology admissions, there will be a distinct question paper group (Medical Oncology Group). The questions in this group's paper will solely focus on the subjects of medical oncology.

— There will be a distinct question paper group (Critical Care Medicine Group) for admissions to DM/DrNB in Critical Care Medicine. The questions in this group's paper will focus solely on critical care medicine topics.

Candidates should check the NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in, for the final exam schedule, eligibility requirements, fee details, any modifications in the examination scheme (if applicable), and additional information.
