Addressing the inauguration of Linga Global School and Bipin Chandra Pal Library Building of Kalasalingam University on the university premises in Krishnankoil, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, K. Rosaiah said Institutions should focus on encouraging character building, promoting skills and abilities of the students and inculcate moral values in them, apart from imparting education.

“The third dimension of education apart from teaching and research is cultivating a social responsibility among students. Education imparted to students must equip them to face the challenges in the real world and compete globally,” Mr. Rosaiah said.

Stating that libraries in educational institutions should adapt to the latest trends and technology, Mr. Rosaiah congratulated the management of the college on making the library services automated and implementing an online public access catalogue which would help the students. Linga Global School has been established with CBSE curriculum supported by Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chennai. Bipin Chandra Pal Library for Kalasalingam University has been built over two storeys and has more than 75,000 books on various disciplines. K. Sridharan, Chancellor of Kalasalingam University, members of the management, faculty and students were present during the inauguration.
