Max Medical Scholarship: Supporting 100 Meritorious MBBS Students
To break down the barriers of financial constraints that often hinder promising students from economically disadvantaged households, Max Healthcare Foundation (MHF) has introduced the Max Medical Scholarship Programme.
The Max Medical Scholarship Programme is part of Max Healthcare Foundation’s corporate social responsibility program that aims to encourage and support the aspirations of next-generation medical professionals. The scholarship will fully fund the medical education of 100 students every year from economically weaker sections (EWS) who have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET examination) and gained admission to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program in the eight government medical colleges in Delhi for the academic year 2023-24.
The registration for this scholarship will open on February 20, 2024 (www.maxhealthcarefoundation.org). The Max Medical Scholarships marks one of India's largest annual scholarship grants for medical education.
Speaking on the announcement, Taruna Soi, chairperson of the Max Healthcare Foundation, said, “Financial constraints can often exclude meritorious students from economically disadvantaged communities to drop out before completing their education. To empower such students, we proudly announce the Max Medical Scholarship Programme, which will fully fund the medical education of 100 deserving students. Rooted in our core values of care and compassion, this corporate social responsibility initiative aims to empower the next generation of medical professionals. We will nurture talent, break down barriers and create brighter, more inclusive healthcare.
Applications will be open for 15 days after the program is announced. It follows a series of steps, including reviewing applications and pre-selection, interviewing shortlisted candidates and submitting the necessary documents to the final selection criteria. The selection process for these 100 experts is based on rigorous evaluation criteria assessed by a panel of judges from the Max Healthcare Foundation.
The selected students will receive full financial support for one year, the first of his five years of the MBBS course. Talk This includes tuition fees, a personal laptop, textbooks, and equipment such as bone sets, dissection kits, stethoscopes, and a monthly stipend. From the second year onwards, the scholarship covers tuition and fees.
The fee is per 100 students until the 5-year MBBS course ends. The scholarship applies to selected students who register for regular reviews and assessments to guide their participation. This program is intended to support students with their educational costs throughout their journey. One hundred scholarships are awarded to recipients each year.
