SAT Registration Open, Exam Scheduled for August 23

The College Board has begun the registration process for the initial SAT exam of the academic year on August 23. The SAT registration deadline is August 8. Students wishing to register for the exam can complete their application by the deadline on the official website — mysat.collegeboard.org/login. Students can sign in if they possess an account, and can register for an account if they are new users.

In India, qualified students can apply for the India Scholars Programme, providing up to 90 percent discount on SAT registration for those from low-income families, as well as access to merit-based scholarships at affiliated Indian universities. In addition, the College Board has revealed the schedule for the upcoming exam.

Students needing a device for the digital SAT should make a request no later than 30 days before their chosen test date. The College Board Device Lending Programme features an initiative that guarantees no student is impeded by insufficient access to technology.

To support student preparedness, the College Board provides free, authentic SAT practice through Khan Academy, along with complete digital practice tests through the Blueboo app. Students can check the official College Board website for comprehensive details regarding the dates and registration deadlines.

Simultaneously, the College Board revealed the shift to digital formats. The transition will begin with the May 2025 exams, wherein AP English, AP Psychology, and AP Computer Science will fully move to digital format, while 12 other exams, including AP Biology and AP Chemistry, will implement a hybrid model that integrates digital multiple-choice questions with conventional paper-based free-response segments.
