Prof. Krishna Saraswat, a renowned professor of electrical engineering at Stanford University in the United States is amongst the many bright faces with respectful auras that have embarked on a journey to uplift the country and its level of educational expertise on international waters. Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani was founded in the 1900s as a small school by the eminent leader and industrialist Mr G.D.Birla. What started in early 1900s as a small school; blossomed into a set of colleges for higher education, ranging from the Humanities to Engineering until 1964 when all these colleges amalgamated to culminate into a unique Indian University of International standing.
